Meet Your Mentor
With 17 years of teaching experience and a BA in Mathematics from UC Berkeley, I bring a legacy of academic excellence to every session. My journey began in the rigorous lecture halls of Cal, where I developed a deep appreciation for the precision and beauty of mathematical structures.
As a math teacher with credentials in California and Arizona, and who has earned National Board certification, I have spent nearly two decades refining the art of instruction. My MA in Teaching Mathematics allows me to bridge the gap between complex theory and student understanding, building confidence through personalized mentorship.
My perspective is further enriched by years of teaching mathematics internationally in South Korea, Taiwan, and France. These global experiences have instilled in me a deep sense of cultural competence and a commitment to fostering a true sense of belonging for every student within the mathematical landscape.
Closer to home, I served as Math Department Chair at The College Preparatory School in Oakland, CA. During my tenure at this prestigious institution, I contributed to the development of innovative curricula, integrating cutting-edge research about mathematics learning, to optimize student outcomes.
Today, I empower students nationally through a virtual classroom that maintains the same high standards as my physical tenure. Every lesson is tailored to the individual, ensuring that whether we are tackling calculus or foundational algebra, the path to mastery is clear, structured, and achievable.
